Lindsay + Matt | A Wedding at Bear Hill Golf Club in Stoneham

There's a reason why September is such a popular month for weddings, especially on the North Shore of Massachusetts. The air is warm but some of the humidity has been tempered, the days are long so receptions can go on into the night, and the outdoor backdrop is still all in bloom against blue skies. This is also why golf courses are such great locations for weddings!

Bear Hill Golf Club in Stoneham, MA was a beautiful place for an early fall wedding reception. After exchanging their beautiful wedding vows at St Joseph’s Parish in Wakefield Lindsay and Matt had their celebration at Bear Hill Golf Club surrounded by family and friends.  I could tell just by looking at them that they were so excited to share this day with the people who love them.

Lauren + Josh | A Wedding at Brooksby Farm in Peabody

The Smith Barn at Brooksby Farm in Peabody, MA is one of the most popular wedding sites on the North Shore for a reason - it doesn't disappoint! Lauren and Josh were so easy to photograph at their late summer wedding. This is a couple who just falls into each other and their love radiated the whole day.

Lauren got ready at a beautiful rented home on Great Neck in Ipswich, a wonderful place for taking pictures. It was beauty complementing beauty.

Back at the Smith Barn, 617 Weddings provided the entertainment. You know it's going to be a good party when DJ Chuck is there, and this was no exception!

Joe + Katherine | Tuftonboro, NH Wedding

It's hard to beat the aesthetics of a fall wedding in Tuftonboro, NH. Joe and Katherine shared their vows at their family's vacation home of First Light Farm. This was no typical backyard wedding; this was a stunning old barn and farmhouse that provided the perfect backdrop for a day focused on family, complete with Nana's cookies.

Because Joe is a fellow photographer I started the day with more nerves than usual, but Joe's family was so warm and immediately welcomed me into their home, making the day nothing but fun!

Caroline + Jamie | Danvers, MA Wedding

Caroline and Jamie got married on a beautiful fall day at Glen Magna Farms in Danvers, MA. You know how some people just emanate happiness? That's them. I loved photographing them and capturing the raw happiness that they projected naturally.

Very comfortable in front of the camera, this couple is laid back and demonstrated how comfortable and happy a couple should be together. Since they both played rugby in college, there were a lot of rugby friends in attendance and it was obvious that this was a group who had fun together. In fact, two members of the wedding party attended as T-Rex...anytime there are dinosaurs at your wedding, you know it's going to be a good time!

Mariah and Josh, Peabody, MA Wedding

Mariah found me through Facebook pages after her scheduled wedding photographer cancelled on her and she was scrambling to find a replacement. Talk about making a hectic time as stressful as possible. When you're researching and interviewing wedding photographers, make sure they have great referrals! The last thing anyone wants is to have to book a wedding photographer at the last minute. Mariah and I only spoke a couple of times before she asked me to photograph her wedding. I was so thankful that I wasn't booked that day and was able to be a part of their wedding!

It turned out to be a tremendous stroke of luck that her first photographer was unable to follow through. Mariah and Josh are a fantastic couple and their wedding was gorgeous and fun to photograph! We planned to take photographs morning of their wedding before the ceremony to capture some intimate and quiet shots of just the two of them. It was a little rainy and gloomy when I set out to meet them but when we arrived at Wakefield Lake to take advantage of the fall foliage the sun came out shining and it was beautiful! We got some great wedding photos there! When we were done we all headed to in a lovely Wakefield church for the wedding ceremony followed by the reception at the Holiday Inn in Peabody. Mariah and Josh had the time of their lives! It was an amazing day!

Since then Mariah has been a huge supporter of my wedding photography and recommends me to her friends and family on what feels like a weekly basis. I'm constantly amazed at how lucky I am to work with such wonderful people!
